Circa Sports is now live in four states, with the operator also accepting wagers in Colorado, Iowa, and Nevada. Circa is best known for its retail sportsbooks in Nevada, including the world’s largest sportsbook at the Circa Resort & Casino in downtown Las Vegas.
“The debut of Circa Sports Illinois is a tremendous moment for our company, and we are thrilled to have worked with this great state and Full House Resorts to bring the expansion to life,” Circa owner and CEO Derek Stevens said in a statement. “There’s nothing like a Midwest sports fan and we know our product matches up with what they are looking for in a betting experience.”
The new addition gives Illinois customers access to eight PointsBet, and Barstool Sportsbook are operational in Illinois.
Circa Sports is Illinois’ first new mobile entrant since BetMGM in March of 2022.

Well-known for its Vegas flagship, Circa Sports aims to provide bettors in Illinois with a special retail experience. The company also differentiates itself from competitors with larger betting limits.
Circa’s retail sportsbook in Illinois includes a dedicated wagering area with kiosks, ticket windows, 36 televisions, and real-time odds displayed across digital boards. The space is currently located at the temporary casino being operated by Full House Resorts, as the permanent American Place casino remains under construction.

“We are thrilled for Circa Sports to launch their best-in-class sportsbook in Illinois in partnership with our American Place Casino,” Alex Stolyar, chief development officer for Full House Resorts, said in a statement. “The sportsbook gives new and existing casino customers throughout Chicagoland one more reason to visit and frequent American Place.”
A grand opening event at the sportsbook will take place Wednesday, with Chicago Bears legend Brian Urlacher on hand at 2:30 p.m. to place a wager and meet fans and bettors. There will also be a baseball wild card watch party Wednesday (that’ll be a lot cooler if the Cubs actually make it to the postseason), and Urlacher will be available to take photos with fans from 5-7 p.m.
