Massachusetts’ sports betting market. The news was shared at a Massachusetts Gaming Commission meeting held Wednesday morning.
The sports betting app stopped accepting bets in the state last week, with a geolocation block for Massachusetts s put in place on Feb. 16. All wagers with the sports betting operator have been settled, as Betr never offered futures bets.
While Betr is leaving Massachusetts, the operator is operational in Pennsylvania.
“I’m sorry to see you leaving our market,” Cathy Judd-Stein, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission chairman, said at Wednesday’s meeting. “I know you’re going into several other markets, and I wish your company success.”

WynnBET’s official cessation request is expected to be finalized Friday and brought to the commission next week. The operator is expected to cease mobile operations in Massachusetts by the end of this week.
WynnBET still holds a brick-and-mortar presence in Massachusetts, and the state’s mobile exit comes as the operator dials down its online sports betting presence nationwide.
A WynnBET representative shared that about 75% of futures bets in Massachusetts have been settled. They’ve reached out to bettors with active futures bets, and they’re offering multiple solutions, including a refund of the original bet or a fair market-value settlement of the wager.
