ESPN’s Outside the Lines is back for its 34th year, and it will be tackling the state of sports betting in a four-part series debuting on SportsCenter February 1 and running for four consecutive days.
Afterwards, the entirety of the program will be available on the ESPN YouTube channel.
Titled ALL IN – Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, which is happening in the gambling capital of the world, Las Vegas.
According to a press release hyping the show, “all facets” of the industry will be looked at, including some of the black eyes it continues to receive.
The main thrust of the program will be looking at the world of sports betting since PASPA was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2018. The series is hosted by Jeremy Schaap with reporting by Schaap, John Barr, and David Purdum.

The breakdown of the four-part series is as follows, according to the release:
Part 1 will take an bird’s-eye view of the sports betting landscape, including looks at how younger people are using sportsbook apps, how social media has impacted sports betting, and how sports betting companies and the sports leagues themselves work together.
Part 2 is an interview with Isaiah Rodgers Sr., the former Indianapolis Colts defensive back who was suspended indefinitely by the first broken by Sports Handle last year.
Part 3 will look at how the NFL did a 180 on the concept of sports betting, looking at how the activity is now legal in 38 states and how the league has gone “all-in” in marketing sports betting.
Lastly, part 4 will examine the risks of sports betting, looking at addiction issues and what goes on inside the mind of a gambler.
Outside the Lines first launched in 1990 and has won 15 sports Emmy Awards, four Edward R. Murrow Awards, and three Peabody Awards.
