Fresh off hosting a decadent Super Bowl bash in Los Angeles featuring the Chainsmokers and Lil Baby, MaximBet is turning its focus to heartland America, where Indiana and Iowa will soon become the next two states where the mobile sportsbook will go live.
Owned and operated by Carousel Group and partnered with the Ontario in 2022, in addition to Iowa and Indiana.
MaximBet’s vice president of brand and communications, Doug Terfehr, told Sports Handle that the sportsbook will begin taking sports wagers in Indiana “before the Final Four,” with Iowa soon to follow.
“They’re both huge sports states,” he pointed out.

To this end, when MaximBet launches in Indiana, it will offer s a chance to win what they’re calling the “Ultimate Indiana Sports Fans Bucket List.” This will include sitting courtside at Assembly Hall, playing H-O-R-S-E at Hoosier Gym (Hickory High’s home gym in the film Hoosiers) in Knightstown, drinking a boilermaker at a Purdue game, and attending the Indy 500. The six-pack of experiences will be rounded out by a pair of crowdsourced suggestions.
“Indiana and Iowa represent a prime opportunity for MaximBet to bring its world-class sportsbook and unparalleled real-life experiences to two of the most ionate sports markets in the country,” said Daniel Graetzer, CEO of MaximBet. “Sports betting has been a boon for both states since 2019, but sports fans have never experienced anything like the MaximBet LIVE parties, athlete and celebrity meet-and-greets, and in-person entertainment that MaximBet will bring to these two ionate sports states. We can’t wait to show our new s in Indiana and Iowa what we have in store.”
Terfehr said that while plans for an Iowa launch event have yet to be finalized, Indiana’s bash will likely center on the Indianapolis 500 on Memorial Day weekend. In anticipation of its North American expansion, MaximBet recently announced partnerships with Kambi and White Hat Gaming to bolster its technological capabilities in the sports betting and iGaming verticals.
