After the tournament, LSU sought out and hired former Murray State head coach Matt McMahon. McMahon compiled a 154-67 record in his seven seasons at the Ohio Valley powerhouse, including three NCAA Tournament appearances.

These new head coaches will have their work cut out, but both should be ready for the challenge.
